= force / area

= 400 N / 0.02 m^2

C) when the student lifts one foot up, the area decrease and she sinks down because pressure increases. Pressure is inversely proportional to area, therefore if there's a decrease in area, pressure will increase and due to increase in pressure, the body moves downwards even more.
