A boat moves in calm water 18 km / h. It takes less than 1 hour to fix a certain direction in the direction of the stream, by coming in the opposite direction of the stream.

Speed of the boat in still water =18km/hr.

Speed of the stream.=x km/hr (say).

Speed downstream=18tx.

Speed upstream=18-x.

Then,24/(18-x) -24/(18+x)=1.

Solving we get x=6
