x²+5x+6

x²+2x+3x+6

x(x+2)+3(x+2)

(x+2)(x+3)

(x+2)=0

x=-2

(x+3)=0

x=-3

roots of the equation are -2 & -3

x²+5x+6

sum of roots=-2-3

=-5

-(coefficient of x)/coefficient of x²=-b/a

=-5/1

=-5

so,

sum of roots=-(coefficient of x)/coeff.of x²

now,

product of roots=-2×(-3)

=6

Constant term/coefficient of x²=c/a

=6/1

=6

So,

product of roots=constant term/coeff.ofx²

hence,verified..
