let P=2x

Q=3x,

R=4x,

then

P²+Q²+R²=11600,

(2x)²+(3x)²+(4x)²=11600,

4x²+9x²+16x²=11600,

29x²=11600,

then

x²=400,

x=√400,

then

x=20,

hence
P=2×20=40,

Q=3×20=60,

R=4×20=80,

therefore

P+Q-R=40+60-80,

then

P+Q+R=20,




2):-

S=h/2[2a+(h-1)d],

2S/h =[2a+(h-1)d],

2S/h - 2a =(h-1)d,

(2S-2ah)/h =(h-1)d,

then

d=(2S-2ah)/[h(h-1)]
