Answer:

In the given triangle ABC,

<BAD = 40°, <PBA = 40°

Considering that line AB is a transversal to the lines BP and DA.

The alternate interior angles are equal

i.e. <BAD = <PBA = 40°

Hence, BP||AD

Now, from above above we realize that <PBC = 90°

And we know that <PBA = 40°

therefore, <ABC = <PBC - <PBA

                           => 90° - 40° => 50°
