To draw an ogive :

( i ) : The cumulative table for the given ( continuous ) frequency distribution is : [ in the attached document ]


( ii ) : Since the scale on x-axis starts at 0, a kink is shown near the origin on x-axis to indicate that the graph is drawn to scale beginning at 0.

( iii ) : Take 1 cm along x - axis = 10( marks )

( iv ) : Take 1 cm along y - axis = 5 ( students )

( v ) : Plot the points ( 10 , 5 ) , ( 20 , 8 ) , ( 30 , 12 ) , ( 40 , 15 ) , ( 50 , 19 ) , ( 60 , 23 ) , ( 70 , 30 ) , ( 80 , 39 ) , ( 90 , 46 ) , ( 100 , 54 ) representing upper class limits and the respective cumulative frequencies.

Also plot the representing lower limit of the first class that is 0 - 10.
