Let the two integers be x and y
x+y=-16
One is given to us... So x=53
Now put in the equation...
53+y=-16... y=-16-53=-69
So the other no. is -69

Hope it helps!

the sum of the two integers are -16
and one of them is 53
let's assume another integer be X
➡53+X=-16
X=(-16-53)
X=(-69)
➡verify:
-69+53=-16
..... hope it helps you
