Solution :-

There are 5 boys and 3 girls in Room II

∴ selecting a girl amongst the 3 girls in room II can be done in = 3C_1 = 3 ways ,

Now , There are 4 boys and 2 girls in Room I

So , total no . of girls = 3+2= 5

∴ Total no. of ways in which a girl can be selected from room I and II is ,

= 5C_1 = 5 ways,

Hence , the probability that the girl who laughed loudly was from Room II is ,

Probability = \dfrac{Favourable \:cases }{Total\: Number \:of \:possible \:outcomes}

\implies Probability=\dfrac{3 }{5} (answer).
