here is your answer,

Let son's age be x years and father's age be y years.

Then, 2x+y =70.......(i)

and x+2y =95.......(ii)

by (i) we have, y = 70 - 2x....(iii)

substituting this in (ii) we get,

x+2(70-2x)= 95

x+140-4x = 95

-3x = -45

x = 15

substituting this in iii we get

y = 70-30 = 40

thus, son's age is 15 yrs and father's age is 40 yrs
