substitute (1) in (2)
3[(14-3q)/4] -4q =23
(42-9q-16q)/4=23
42-25q=23(4)
42-25q=92
-25q=92-42
-25q=50
q=-(50/25)
q=-2
substitute q in EQ(1)
p=(14-3(-2))/4
p=14+6/4
p=20/4
p=5
