When they apply force on the pedal the rear wheel start to move , due the motion of the rear wheel, they grip the road and push the road backward.Since forces result from mutual interaction. Tge road must also pushing the wheel forward. The size of force on the road is equal size of force on the wheel, tbedirection of force on the road is opposite the direction of force on the wheel. Fir every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Action- Reaction force pairs make it possible for the bicycle to move on the surface of road.
