In rectangle,

so, Given:- length = 7cm and breadth = 5cm

Area = l×b

= 7×5

= 35cm²

In square,

Given:- perimeter = 24cm

To find the area, first we need to find side by dividing the perimeter by 4

obviously.. because a square has 4 sides..

So, 24/4 = 6cm

side = 6cm

Now area = side×side

= 6×6

= 36cm²

=> 35<36

Hence, the square has the greater area.
