Hmm…

Let the present age of the father be:x

And that of the son be :y

Therefore from 1st condition:

(x-1)=4(y-1)

(x-1)=4y-4

x-4y=-4+1

x-4y=-3———————equation 1

From 2nd condition,

(x+6)=2(y+6)+9

x+6=2y+12+9

x-2y=15———————equation 2

Therefore after subtracting equation 1 from 2 we get,

y=9

Now let's replace y with 9 in 2nd equation,

We have,

x-18=15

x=33

Hence the present ages of father and his son are 33 and 9 respectively!!
