Let 1:k be the ratio in which the point P divides the line segment AB

We know that,

P(x,y)=mx2+nx1/(m+n) ,. my2+ ny1 by (m+n)

(x,3)= 1(3) + k(-4)by 1+k. , 1(6) + k(2) by (1+K)

= 3-4k by 1+k ,,. 6+2k by 1+k

CHECK THE PHOTO ATTACHED

substitute k=3

3-4k by 1+k= 3-4(3)÷ 4.
x =-9/4

therefore it is divided in the ration 1:3{ we found that k =4}

hope u found this helpful .mark it as brainiest..
