\large\underline{\text{Answer}}

The speed of the jet plane is 200 meters per second.

\large\underline{\text{Solution}}

Given information in the question:-

  • The angle of elevation is 60° in the first observation.
  • After 15 seconds, the angle of elevation is 30°.
  • The height of the jet plane is 1500√3 km.

The trigonometric ratio is a ratio of two sides in the right triangle. Let's first draw a diagram to understand the problem. (Attachment Ⅰ)

\hookrightarrow\overline{AB}=\overline{BH}-\overline{AH}

\hookrightarrow\overline{BH}-\overline{AH}=1500\sqrt{3}\times(\dfrac{1}{\tan 30^{\circ}}-\dfrac{1}{\tan 60^{\circ}})

\hookrightarrow\overline{BH}-\overline{AH}=1500\sqrt{3}\times(\sqrt{3}-\dfrac{\sqrt{3}}{3})

\hookrightarrow\overline{BH}-\overline{AH}=1500\sqrt{3}\times\dfrac{2\sqrt{3}}{3}

\large\hookrightarrow\red{\boxed{\red{\bold{\overline{AB}=3000\ (m)}}}}

We know that,

\large\hookrightarrow\red{\boxed{\red{\bold{Speed=\dfrac{Distance}{Time}}}}}

So, using this,

\hookrightarrow\text{Speed}=\dfrac{\overline{AB}}{15}

\hookrightarrow\text{Speed}=\dfrac{3000}{15}

\large\hookrightarrow\red{\boxed{\red{\bold{Speed=200\ (m/s)}}}}

So, the speed of the jet plane is 200 meters per second.

Step-by-step explanation:

given :

  • angle elevation from point A = 60 degree

  • after a flight = 15 second

  • angle elevation changes = 30 degree

  • constant flying = 1500 √3

to find :

  • speed of jet plane = ?

  • speed of jet plane = ?

solution :

  • jet plane flying the constant = 1500 √ 3

  • Initially jet plane on A point after 15 second

  • flight point B

  • plane position after 15 sec

  • ∆EBC from 30 degree = y/1500√3

  • y/1500√3 = √3 ⇒ y = 1500 √3 x √3 = 4500

  • ∆EDA from 60 degree = x/1500√3 = x/1500√3

  • = 1/√3

  • x= 1500

  • Distance travelled in 15 seconds = (4500-1500) m = 3000 m.

  • travelled in 1 second = 3000/15

  • = 200 m

learn more :

  • we will find in this question how much

  • distance travelled

  • and also find speed of jet finally

  • we find in last distance

  • so answer we will get
