According to question,

Both stones have dropped from same height , same point and in same direction.

Thus, Velocity of second stone is equal to Velocity of first stone.

hence the required velocity of stone = displacement ÷ Time

After one second = 1 + 1 = 2 sec ( this second stone took 2 seconds as it is dropped after the drop of first stone).

100 ÷ 2 = 50 m/ s¹

Answer = 50 m/s¹
