In ∆BDC & ∆AFC,

BD=CF (Both are 90°)

AC=BC (Both are acute angles)

so, by AA similarity criterion.

∆BDC ~ ∆AFC

This gives

AD=AF

so,

AD/BD = AF/CF

thus,

AD×CF = BD×AF

hence proved.
