Answer:

\frac{x-3}{5} -2=-1.

transposing -2 to the other side, it will become +2

\frac{x-3}{5} =-1+2

\frac{x-3}{5} =1

Now, transpose 5 to the other side, it will become ×5.

x-3=1*5.

x-3=5.

Now, transpose -3 to the other side, it will become +3.

x=5+3

x=8.

VERIFICATION:

substitute the value of x in the equation.

\frac{8-3}{5} -2=-1

\frac{5}{5} -2=-1

5/5 is nothing but 1.

1-2=-1

-1=-1

LHS=RHS.

Thus, proved that x=8.
