2x-3y= 5--------------(1)

X= 5+3y/2

Then,

By putting the value of X in equation (2),i.e. 4x+6y= 8,we get,

4×(5+3y/2)+6y= 8

2(5+3y) +6y= 8

10+6y+6y= 8

12y= 8-10

12y= -2

y= -2/12

y= -1/6

Putting the value of y in equation (1),we get,

2x- 3×(-1/6)= 5

2x- (-1/2)=5

2x+1/2=5

2x= 5-1/2

2x= 10-1/2

2x= 9/2

X= 9/2×1/2

X= 9/4

So, the value of X= 9/4

The value of y= -1/6
