hi,
sinB=AC/AB
sinQ=PR/PQ
AC/AB=PR/PQ
then by cross multiplying we get,
AC/PR=AB/PQ
which is equal to 'm'. - equ 1
by using pythagoras theorem, we can state that
BC=√AB²-AC²
and
QR=√PQ²-PR²
so, we can say that,
BC/QR = √AB²-AC²/ √PQ²-PR²
which is equal to
= √m²PQ²-m²PR²/ √PQ²-PR²
= m √PQ²-PR²/ √PQ²-PR² = m. -equ 2
from 1and 2 we have
AC/PR= AB/PQ= BC/QR
therefore, by stating the theorem:
if any two triangles, side of one triangle are proportional to the sides of the other triangle, then their corresponding angles are equal and hence the two triangles are similar.
= triangle ABC ~ triangle PQR
therefore angles B and Q are equal.
hope this helps you
