Number of boys more than girls is ⇒ 150

Total number of girls and boys is ⇒ 5x + 7x

Difference between the number of boys and girls is ⇒ 150

⇒ $\sf 7x-5x$

⇒ $\sf 2x$

⇒ $\sf 2x = 150$

⇒ $\sf x=\frac{150}{2}$

⇒ $\sf x = 75$

Now we can say that,

Numbers of students are ⇒ $\sf 5x+7x$

⇒ $\sf 12x$

⇒ $\sf 12 \times 75$

⇒ $\sf 900$

∴ The total number of students in the school is 900 students.
