Then, total cost of 10 balls = 28×10 = Rs. 280

Let, the white balls be x then, red balls = (10-x)

Also, given that : Average cost of red balls is Rs. 25 and average cost of white balls is Rs. 30

Now, according to the question :

$30x + 25(10 - x) = 280 \\ \\ = > 30x + 250 - 25x = 280 \\ \\ = > 5x = 30 \\ \\ = > x = 6$

So, the number of white balls will be 6
