2x + x-y/6 =2....i)

x-2x+y/3=1......ii)

From eq i)

13x-y=12....iii)

From eq ii)

x+y=3.........iv)

eq iv) × 13 => 13x + 13y = 39.....v)

eq iii) - eq v) => -14y = -27

y= 3/2

putting the value of y in eq iv), we get

x + 3/2 =3

x = 3 - 3/2

x = 3/2

.•. x= 3/2

y=3/2

Answer:

2x + (x-y)/6 =2

12x + x-y = 12

13x - y = 12 ......(i)

x - (2x+y)/3 =1

3x - (2x +y) =3

x-y=3 ........(ii)

now (i) - (ii)

13x-y-x+y=12-3

12x=9

x=(3/4)

y=x-3

y=(3/4)-3

y=(-9/4)

x=3/4

y=-9/4
