Let's name the first line as ab

and the corners of the triangle as x,y and z

since ab is a straight line we have,

L byx+L xya = 180

116° +L xya= 180°

L xya = 180°-116° = 64° = y

and similarly L xzb + L xza= 180°

L xzb + 108°= 180°

L xzb = 180°-108° = 72°= z

now in ∆xyz = L x +L y +L z= 180°

L x +72+64° = 180°

L x = 180° - 136° = 44°

In the second fig lets name the triangle x,y,z such that y is given 35°

and let ab be the line parallel to yz

therefore L abz and yzb are the alternate angles

which means Lb = Lz = 65°

now in ∆ xyz ,

Lx +Ly +Lz = 180°

Lx + 35°+ 65° = 180

Lx = 180° - 100° = 80°
