let the number be x

in the question it is given that :x=3√x+4_____(1)

we need to remove the root to find x hence bring 4 to the other side and square both sides of the equation

x-4=3√x

SQUARING BOTH SIDES

(x-4) ²= 9x

x²-8x+16=9x

x²-17x+16=0

x²-x-16x+16=0

x(x-1) -16(x-1)=0

(x-1) (x-16) =0

x=1,16

out of the two numbers 1 is not possible as it doesn't satisfy equation (1)

1≠3√1+4

hence the required number is 16
