Given :- ∆ABC ~ ∆PQR, AM and PM are altitudes; AX and PY are medians
To prove :- AM/PN = AX/PY
Proof :-
If ∆ABM ~ ∆PQN
AB/PQ = AM/PN ..................(1)
We are given that AX and PY are medians then,
AB/PQ = AX/PY [ ∆ABX ~ ∆PQY ] ...........(2)
From (1) and (2)
AB/PQ = AB/PQ
Then,
AM/PN = AX/PY
Hence proved.
