1) similarities and differences

2) Whittaker proposed an elaborate five kingdom classification – Monera, Protista, Fungi, Plantae and Animalia. The main criteria of the five kingdom classification were cell structure, body organisation, mode of nutrition andreproduction, and phylogeneticrelationships.

3) In sub phylum vertebrata , the notochord present in embryos gets replaced by a cartilaginous or bony vertibral column in adults . but in cephelochordates notochord persits throughout the life as such and in urachordates , notochord is present only in larval stages and absent in adults . Thus, it can be said that all vertibrates are chordates but all chordates are not vertibrates .

4) The grade of organisation tells us about the Oraganism composition which is higher cell, tissue, organ And on the basis of composition grade is decided.

Symmetry is the dividation of Oraganism.

It is of 3 Types

i. Asymmetry

Organism cannot be divided into two halves from any plane. Eg Amoeba

ii. Bilateral

Organism can be divided into two halves by cutting from a particular plane. Eg Human

iii. Radial

Organism can be divided into two halves from any plane. Eg. Starfish

5) The scientific grouping of organisms has some specific advantages.

It makes the study of living organisms convenient.

It helps in the specific identification of any given organism.

The study of a few representatives from each distinct group helps us to integrate the idea of life as a whole.

It reveals the relationships among various groups of organisms.

It provides information about plants and animals, which occur in specific geographical regions.

It indicates the evolutionary relationship by establishing the gradually increasing complexity of form and structure in different groups of organism
