Table (i):

Total number of pieces = 6

Number of pieces eaten = 5

Fraction of pizza eaten = \frac{5}{6}

Table (ii):

Total number of pieces = 15

Number of pieces eaten = 11

Fraction of pizza eaten = \frac{11}{15}

Comparing these two fractions,

\frac{5}{6}  and \frac{11}{15}

Taking LCM we get,

\frac{50}{60} and \frac{44}{60}

Since 50 > 44,

\frac{50}{60} > \frac{44}{60}

\frac{5}{6} >\frac{11}{15}.

Therefore pizza eaten on Table (i) is more.

8.

Weight of apples bought = \frac{17}{4} kg

Weigh of grapes bought = \frac{12}{5}kg

Total weight of fruits = \frac{17}{4} +\frac{12}{5} = \frac{5*17+12*4}{5*4} =\frac{85+48}{20} =\frac{133}{20}kg

9.

Total length of rope = \frac{7}{8}m\\

Length of rope cut = \frac{1}4} m

Total length = Length of cut + Length of rope remaining

Length of rope remaining = \frac{7}{8}- \frac{1}{4}=\frac{7}{8}-\frac{2}{8}   =\frac{7-2}{8} =\frac{5}{8}m

Answer:

7.

Solution

At 1st Table....

Pizza was cut into 6 peices

out of which 5 peices were eaten.

now,

fraction of peices eaten=(5/6)

At 2nd Table...

Pizza was cut into 15 peices

out of which 11 peices were eaten

now,

fraction of peices eaten=(11/15)

To know which one was eaten more, we are gonna convert the fraction into decimal

so,

5/6=0.83

11/15=0.73

clearly, .83>.73

therefore,Pizza was eaten more on table 1..

8.

Total weight of fruits=(17/4)+(12/5)

=(85+48)/20.

=133/20

=6.65kg ans

9.Total lenght of rope = one peice+other peice

now,

let the other peice be x meters

according to question,

7/8=1/4+x

x=(7/8)-(1/4)

x=(7-2)/8

x=5/8 meters ans

Hopefully it helps, sister

Thanks
