Seee, I'll give you the answer in brief. :}

Answer:

c. 12. 5 m/ s

Explanation:

It's an a-t graph with "a" being plot on the y-axis and "t" on the x- axis.

"The area under the curve" or the area covered by the graph

gives the product of the values plotted against y-axix and the values plotted against x- axis.

Here, the area under the curve will give "a × t" which is equal to v ( velocity).

Calculating the Area of the graph:-

= area of trapezoid - area of triangle

[(why minus?)

'cause the triangle is formed in the negative y axis]

Area of trapezoid = 1/ 2 × ( sum of parallel sides) × height

= 1/ 2 × (3. 5 + 2) × 5

= 27. 5/ 2

Area of triangle = 1/ 2 × base × height

= 1/ 2 × 0. 5× 5

= 2.5/ 2

Area of the graph = 27. 5/ 2 - 2. 5/ 2

= 25/ 2

= 12. 5 m/ s

(the heights and base measures have been done according to the graph with help of values along the y and x axis)
