♣ HERE IS YOUR ANSWER ♣

➡ GIVEN :

➡ HEIGHT OF A TRIANGULAR TENT
= 3 m

➡ DISTANCE BETWEEN POINT A AND B = 8 m

➡ DISTANCE FROM THE POINTS TO MIDDLE = 8/2

➡ DISTANCE FROM THE POINTS TO MIDDLE = 4 m

♣ FROM PYTHAGORAS THEOREM, WE HAVE :

➡ (HYPOTENUSE)^2 = (PERPENDICULAR)^2 + (BASE)^2

➡ H^2 = 3^2 + 4^2

➡ H^2 = 9 + 16

➡ H^2 = 25

➡ H = √25

➡ H = 5 m

♣ LENGTH OF THE TENT = 2 × 5

♣ LENGTH OF THE TENT = 10 m
