hi
here might be the answer ur searching forrrrr

1.diameter=4.2m.

therefore radius(r)=2.1m.

height(h)=4.5m

C.S.A of a cylinder=2(pi)(r)(h).

=2(22/7)(2.1)(4.5)

=59.4m2.

2.T.S.A=2(pi)(r)(h+r)

=2(22/7)(2.1)(4.5+2.1)

=13.2(6.6).

=87.12m2.

2.Steel used:

Total surface area of the closed cylindrical petrol storage tank

= 2πr (r + h)

= 2×22/7 ×6.6

= 87.12 cm^2

Area of steel sheet wasted in making the tank

= 1/12 × total surface area

= 1/12 × 87.12

7.26

Actual area of the sheet used for making the tank.

= Total surface of the tank + Area of steel sheet wasted in making the tank

= 87.12 m2 + 7.26 m2

= 94.38 m2

MukeshPathakrockstar: But 2nd answer is wrong
Anonymous: hmm but in ncert
Anonymous: same answer is there
Anonymous: say the answer
MukeshPathakrockstar: No, the answer in ncert is 95.04m square
Anonymous: just points difference na
MukeshPathakrockstar: there is a differenceof 0.66m square
Anonymous: is the process correct
