akshuarora: Since, AB parallel to DE , So b is 70° ( corresponding) then , a =b = 70° and b=c = 70° and in ii) In ∆ ABO 48° + 45°+a = 180 ° ( sum of all angles of ∆ is 180° ) , so 93° +a =180° , a = 87° then , a=b= 87° ( vertical opp. angles) and a=d= 48° ( alternate ) and b+c+d = 180° so , c= 45° ( sum of all angles )

here
AB is parallel to DE
so angle..c =45°and angle d=48°
because they r alternate angles
Now in triangle ABO
48+45+a=180...{by angle sum property of triangle}
or...
93+a=180
...a=180-93
.....= 87...
hope it helps..!!:)
