Given :

• l ║ m

• ∠1 = 2x + 30

To Find :

• The value of x

Solution :

∠1 = 2x + 30

∠1 = ∠2         [ Corresponding angles are equal ]

∴ ∠2 = 2x + 30

∠2 + ∠x = 180°

⇒ 2x + 30 + ∠x = 180°

⇒ 3x = 180° - 30

⇒ ∠x = 150/3

∴ x  50

ii) ∠1 and x  are co - interior angles.

Sum of the co - interior angles is 180
