Length of rectangle ABCD (BC)= 15 cm

And breadth DC= 16.8 cm

Area of rectangle ABCD = Length × breadth

= 15 × 16.8

Step 2: Now find the area of rectangle AEMF.

Breadth = AF = 4.4 cm

Length AE = AB - EB = 16.8 - 7 = 9.8 cm

Area of rectangle AEMF = Length × breadth

= 9.8 × 4.4

= 43.12 sq. cm

Step 3: Find the area of shaded region

The area of shaded region = Area of rectangle ABCD  -Area of rectangle AEMF  

= 252 - 43.12

= 208.88 sq. cm
