Since , The rectangular sheet is rolled along its length .
=> Length of rectangular sheet = Circumference of the base of the cylinder
AND
Width of the rectangular sheet = Height of the cylinder .
Let r be the radius of the base of the cylinder and h be the height of the cylinder .
According to the question ,
2πr = Length of the rectangular sheet
=> 2*22/7*r = 22 cm
=> 2*r = 7 cm
=> r = 7/2 cm .
So , Total Surface Area = 2πr(r+h) = 2*22/7*7/2(7/2+10) cm²
= 22*27/2 cm²
= 22*13.5 cm²
= 297 cm² .
Curved Surface Area = 2πrh = 2*22/7*7/2*10 cm²
= 22*10 cm²
= 220 cm² .
Hence , The Total Surface Area and the Curved Surface Area of the cylinder are 297 cm² and 220 cm² respectively ............
