Answer:

i)Friction is defined as the resistance experienced by the surface or by an object when it is moved over the other. When two surfaces move together and the resistance offered by these surfaces is called friction. For example, when a ball is thrown it moves up till some distance and stops. The ball is acted by an external force and it stops. This external force is referred to as friction. Static friction, Sliding friction, Rolling friction, fluid friction are the four types of friction...

Following are the different methods that are used for reducing the friction:

  • For objects that move in fluids such as boats, planes, cars, etc, the shape of their body is streamlined in order to reduce the friction between the body of the objects as the fluid.
  • By polishing the surface, as polishing makes the surface smooth and friction can be reduced.
  • Using lubricants such as oil or grease can reduce the friction between the surfaces.
  • When objects are rolled over the surface, the friction between the rolled object and surface can be reduced by using ball bearings.

ii) Doing laundry is a boring chore, and when you add drying clothes, it becomes time-consuming. From clothes lying on the stand for days to the moisture which becomes a breeding ground for germs, the traditional drying method becomes tedious and less hygienic process, especially during the monsoon. However, when you get a Bosch dryer, you can enjoy 100% dry and germ-free clothes in every weather

iii)There are two contributions to the speed for which the spokes on the wheel move at. There is translational velocity and rotational velocity.

On the top part of the wheel the vectors corresponding to the translational and rotational velocities add together as they are moving in the same direction (to the right).

Whereas at the bottom section the wheel is rotating in the opposite direction to which the wheel is moving along (as the bike moves); in other words the vector corresponding to the rotational velocity is to the left, but the bike and hence the wheel is moving towards the right. So these two vectors subtract.

(ii) Compared to a standard or high-efficiency clothes washer, a clothes dryer is a very simple appliance. Every dryer, from the most simple to the most expensive, uses a combination of heat, air, and motion to dry clothes by removing moisture.

(iii) ....I Don't know... Sorry
