The 3 m wide path forms another rectangle outside the park.
Its length = 125 + 3 + 3 = 131 m
Its breadth = 65 + 3 + 3 = 71 m
We have to find the area of the two rectangles first. The difference of their areas is the are of the 3 m wide path.
So,
Area of bigger rectangle = l × b = 131 × 71 = 9301 square m.
Area of smaller rectangle = l × b = 125 × 65 = 8125 square m.
So,
Area of Path = 9301 - 8125 = 1176 square m.

Here also two rectangles are formed : one by the frame and the other by the inner margin. We have to find the areas of these two rectangles and find their difference which is the area of the margin.
Frame:
l = 8 cm
b = 5 cm.
Area = 8 × 5 = 40 square cm.
Inner margin:
l = 8 - 1.5 - 1.5 = 5 cm.
b= 5 - 1.5 - 1.5 = 2 cm.
Area = 5 × 2 = 10 square cm.
So,
Total Area of margin = 40 - 10 = 30 square cm.
