Step-by-step explanation:

Let the total work be x.

Given, 1x/3 = 6

x = 18 days

She can complete the whole work in 18 days.

if she completes work in 18 days,

then her one day would be 1/18.

One day work = 1/18

If she works for 9 days, Work done

= 1/18 * 9

= 1/2

Total work = 1

work left = 1 - 1/2

= 1/2

Solution :-

(i)

1/3 work can be completed in = 6 days

1 work can be completed in = 6/(1/3) = 6 * 3 = 18 days

So she can complete the whole work in 18 days

(ii)

In 18 days work done = 1 part of work

In 1 day work done = 1/18 part of work

So she can do 1/18 part of work in 1 day.

(iii)

In 1 day work done = 1/18 part of work

In 9 days work done = 1/18 * 9 = 9/18 = 1/2 part of work

Work left = 1 - 1/2 = (2 - 1)/2 = 1/2 part of work

So 1/2 part of work is left when she works only for 9 days.
