(a) By taking the years on x-axis and the number of days on y-axis and taking scale as 1 unit = 2 days on y-axis and 2 unit = 1 year on x-axis, the linear graph of the given information can be drawn as follows.

( refer to the first attachment )

(b) By taking the years on x-axis and population on y-axis and scale as 1 unit = 0.5 thousand on y-axis and 2 unit = 1 year on x-axis, the linear graph of the given information can be drawn as follows.

( refer to the second attchment )

In the above Question, the following data is given -

[ A ]

See the first attachment.

Here, this data shows the comparison between the number of days a hillside city received snow for different years vs the respective years.

Interference -

In the year, 2003, it snowed in Hill City for 8 days in that year.

In the year, 2004, it snowed in Hill City for 10 days that year.

In the year, 2005, it snowed in Hill City for 5 days in that year.

In the year, 2006, it snowed in Hill City for 12 days that year.

Drawing The Graph -

Here, we can depict the years on the x-axis and the number of days on the y-axis.

So,

Corresponding to the year 2003 on the x-axis, on the y-axis, mark 8 days.

Corresponding to the year 2004 on the x-axis, on the y-axis, mark 10 days.

Corresponding to the year 2005 on the x-axis, on the y-axis, mark 5 days.

Corresponding to the year 2006 on the x-axis, on the y-axis, mark 12 days.

Solution -

See the attached graph in the second attachment

[ B ]

See the third attachment.

Here, this data shows the population of men and women ( in thousands ) in a city for respective years.

Interference -

In the year, 2003, there were 12 thousand men and 11.3 thousand women.

In the year, 2004, there were 12.5 thousand men and 11.9 thousand women.

In the year, 2005, there were 13 thousand men and 13 thousand women.

In the year, 2006, there were 13.2 thousand men and 13.6 thousand women.

In the year, 2007, there were 13.5 thousand men and 12.8 thousand women.

Drawing The Graph -

Here, we can depict the years on the x-axis and the number of men and women ( in 1000 ) on the y-axis.

So,

Corresponding to the year 2003 on the x-axis, on the y-axis, mark 12 thousand men and 11.3 thousand women.

Corresponding to the year 2004 on the x-axis, on the y-axis, mark 12.5 thousand men and 11.9 thousand women.

Corresponding to the year 2005 on the x axis , on the y axis , mark 13 thousand men and 13 thousand women .

Corresponding to the year 2006 on the x axis , on the y axis , mark 13.2 thousand men and 13.6 thousand women .

Corresponding to the year 2008 on the x axis , on the y axis , mark 13.5 thousand men and 12.5 thousand women .

Solution -

See the attached graph.
