(i) towards west because it is just below the conductor A B
(ii) due to current flowing through wire it create a electromagnetic field around it closer the needle stronger the field so the attraction of the needle towards the Conductor.
iii) it is towards A B in east direction.

yes there are many example and devices that work on that like dc motor, dynamo etc
