Question:

1. The three sides of a triangle are 3x²+2x-1 and 4x²+x+4 and 5x²+3x-2.

SOLUTION:

  • Perimeter of triangle =>

( a+b+c )

Here, a= 3x²+2x-1

b=4x²+x+4

c=5x²+3x-2

So, perimeter of the triangle is =>

(3 {x}^{2}  + 2x - 1) + (4 {x}^{2}  + x + 4) + (5 {x}^{2}  + 3x + - 2)

 = 12 {x}^{2}  + 6x + 1

ANSWER: THE PERIMETER OF THE TRIANGLE IS 12x²+6x+1.

QUESTION:

2. The the side of a square is 5x+4. Find its perimeter.

SOLUTION:

  • Perimeter of a square =>

4×Side

Here, Side= 5x+4

So, the perimeter of the square is =>

4(5x + 4)

 = 20x + 16

ANSWER: THE PERIMETER OF THE SQUARE IS 20x+16.

QUESTION:

3. One side of an equilateral triangle is 3x+4y. Find its perimeter.

SOLUTION:

  • Perimeter of an equilateral triangle =>

3×a

Here, a= 3x+4y

So,the perimeter of the equilateral triangle is =>

3 (3x + 4y)

 = 9x + 12y

ANSWER: THE PERIMETER OF THE EQUILATERAL TRIANGLE IS 9x+12y.

1. The three sides of a triangle are 3x² + 2x - 1, 4x² + x + 4 and 5x² + 3x - 2. Find the perimeter of the triangle.

Side 1 = 3x² + 2x - 1

Side 2 = 4x² + x + 4

Side 3 = 5x² + 3x - 2

Perimeter = Side 1 + Side 2 + Side 3

= 3x² + 2x - 1 + 4x² + x + 4 + 5x² + 3x - 2

→ Adding the like terms:

= 3x² + 4x² + 5x² + 2x + x + 3x - 1 + 4 - 2

= 12x² + 6x + 1

The perimeter of the triangle is 12x² + 6x + 1.

2. The side of a square is 5x + 4. Find its perimeter.

Side, a = 5x - 4

Perimeter of a square = 4a

= 4 x (5x - 4)

= 20x - 16

Hence the perimeter of the square is 20x - 16.

3. One side of an equilateral triangle is 3x - 4y. Find its perimeter.

Side, a = 3x - 4y

Perimeter of an equilateral triangle = 3a

= 3 x (3x - 4y)

= 9x - 12y

Hence the perimeter of the equilateral triangle is 9x - 12y.

Final Answers:

1. 12x² + 6x + 1

2. 20x - 16

3. 9x - 12y
