It is an equilateral triangle.

So each angle of a triangle is 60°( 60×3= 180°)

So x = 180=60 = 120°

So y = 180-120 = 60°

ie.. x = 120°

y = 60°

  • We know that,opposite angles are equal.Therefore inner angles of the triangles are equal to outer angles.

That is,x=y

  • Sum of outer angles of a polygon is 360°

That is, x+x+x=360°

3x=360°

x=360/3

x=120°

  • x+y=180°(Linear pair)

120+y=180°

y=180-120

y=60°
