The block still moves because the mass of both the boxes is different if the mass of the boxes might be same then the box might not move

consider the formula

F= mass and acceleration

mass of 1st block = 5kg

Force apllied= 10N

acceleration produced= F/mass

10/5=2m/s2

the acceleration produces will act on block 2

thereforce force applied on opposite direction = mass * acceleration = 4* 2m/s2 = 8N

since force acting on block 1 > force acting oppositely on block 1

therefore block moves forward
