Answer:

20. 2 x 3 ^n + 1 + 7 x 3^n – 1 / 3^n + 2 – 2(1/3)^1- n

We can write this as

2 x 3^n x 3^1 + 7 x 3^n x 3^-1 / 3^n + 2 – 2 x (3^-1)^1-n

Taking 3^n as common factor we get

3^n(2 x 3 + 7 x 3^-1) /3^n+2 – 2 x 3^n-1

3^n(2 x 3 + 7 x 3^-1)/ 3^n x 3^2 – 2 x 3^n x 3^-1

3^n(2 x 3 + 7 x 3^-1)/3^n(3^2 – 2 x 3^-1)

6 + 7/3 / 9 – 2/3

25/3 / 25/3

= 1
