Given :

  • We have to find the Area of the Rectangle whose Sides are 6m and 20cm

To find :

  • The area of the Rectangle

Solution :

★ Concept :

We have to find the Area of the Rectangle but we can clearly see that the sides are not equal because 6 is in metre and 20 is in Centimetre So, before finding the Area we have to first make both the units So, let's do it!

{\underline{\underline{\green{\mathfrak{As \ we \ know \ that}}}}}

\;\boxed{\sf{\pink{Area_{\:(rectangle)} = Length \times Breadth}}}

\;\boxed{\sf{\purple{1_{\:(m)} = 100{\:(cm)}}}}

: \implies \sf{6 \ m} \times \sf{100 \ cm}

: \implies  {\underline{\boxed{\pink{\mathfrak{600 \ m}}}}}

Now, we can find the Area as both the units are equal

: \implies \sf{600 \ cm \ \times 20 \ cm}

: \implies {\underline{\boxed{\pink{\mathfrak{12,000 \ cm^{2}}}}}}

•°• Hence, verified! that the Area is \sf{12,000 \ cm^{2}}

Answer:

\bf\red{Question}

  • Find the area of rectangle whose sides are 6 m and 20 cm.

\bf\red{Conversion}

We have to convert m \red\leadsto cm

1 m = 100 cm

6 m = 6 × 100 = 600 cm

\bf\red{Given}

Length \red\leadsto 600 cm [ 6m ]

Breadth \red\leadsto 20 cm

\bf\red{To\:find}

  • We have to find the area of rectangle

\bf\red{Formula}

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

\bf\red{Solution}

Length \red\leadsto 600 cm [ 6m ]

Breadth \red\leadsto 20 cm

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

ATQ,

= 600 × 20

= 12000

Hence Proved! 12000 cm² is the area of rectangle.
