3. Let,

The cost of one Bat be x

and the cost of one ball be y

Then According to Question

7x + 6y = 3800 ---(i)

3x + 5y = 1750 ---(ii)

multiplying (i) by 3 and (ii) by 7 we get

21x + 18y = 11400 (iii)

21x + 35y = 12250 (iv)

subtracting (iv) from (iii) we get

−17y = −850

⇒y = 50

putting y=50 in (i)

7x+6y=3800

⇒7x+6×50=3800

⇒7x=3800−300

⇒x=500

Therefore,

The cost of each bat is Rs 500

The cost of each bat is Rs 500and the cost of each ball is Rs 50.
