1) Distance travelled by the first aeroplane= t

= 300km/ 1.5 hrs

= 450km

2) Distance travelled by the second aeroplane= t

= 400km/h × 1.5h

= 600km

3) Line segment AB shows the distance between both the planes

4) The second aeroplane travelled more by 600km-450km= 150km

5) Distance between the two aeroplane can be given

by =+

(where H is the distance between them, P is the distance of the first aeroplane due North and B is the distance of the second aeroplane due West)

AB²= AO²+OB²

AB²= (450km)²+(600km)²

AB²= 202500km²+360000

AB= 562500km

= 750km×750km

= 750km
