According to Heron's Formula we know that :

Area = \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)}

The area of a triangle is max when it is an equilateral triangle , thus we will assume our triangle to be an equilateral triangle therefore all it's side's are 2 cm, semi-perimeter is 3, putting all these values in our formula we obtain the area as option D root 3.
