L = constant x A2

A = L/constant

In given case, we are given that loudness is reduced by 36%.

L' = 0.36 L

L' = constant ( A') ^2

0.36L = constant ( A') ^2

Taking square root on both sides,

0.6 L/cconstan = A'

or

A' = 0.6 A

Hence amplitude will reduce by 60 %
