Answer:

b = 40 degrees C = 50 degrees ( ANSWER )

Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN :

PQRS IS A QUADRILATERAL IN A CIRCLE WITH CENTRE T.

ANGLE PTQ IS 100 DEGREES.

TO FIND :

VALUE OF b AND C.

SOLUTION :

ANGLE PTQ = 2 * ANGLE PSQ

( ANGLE SUBTENDED AT THE CENTRE OF A CIRCLE IS DOUBLE THE ANGLE SUBTENDED BY IT AT ANY POINT ON THE REMAINING PART OF THE CIRCLE )

THEREFORE,

c =   \frac{100}{2}  \\  \\ c = 50 \: degrees. \\  \\

NOW QTS IS A STRAIGHT LINE

THEREFORE, ANGLE PTS + ANGLE PTQ = 180

THEREFORE ANGLE PTS = 180 - 100 = 80 DEGREES.

NOW. ANGLE PTS = 2 * ( ANGLE PRS ).

( ANGLE SUBTENDED AT THE CENTRE OF A CIRCLE IS DOUBLE THE ANGLE SUBTENDED BY IT AT ANY POINT ON THE REMAINING PART OF THE CIRCLE )

THEREFORE,

b =   \frac{80}{2}  \\  \\ b = 40  \: degrees.

ANSWER :

b = 40 degrees

C = 50 degrees.
